UBUD MONKEY FOREST

Ubud Monkey Forest is definitely not to be forgotten.It’s worth every penny to visit Monkey Forest.Its also known as the Mandala Suci Wenara Wana is the sanctuary or natural habitat of Balinese long tailed Monkey, scientific name Macaca fascicularis.

It is a sprawling monkey reserve with more than 700+ monkeys and 180+ species of plants in 12.5 hectares of forest.The forest is well maintained.You will see monkeys almost everywhere, most of them will be eating😀Just be careful that you don’t have any food item or water bottle in your hand. Keep your bags safe from the nature’s tricksters!They’re so playful and delightful.We have seen some monkeys opening the backpacks.The walk through the area is great with beautiful tall trees and breath taking surroundings and the baby monkeys are adorable.

How to get there:

For those staying in Ubud area,there is a free shuttle bus service.The bus leaves from the hanoman street and ubud main street.The bus leaves from Monkey forest every 15 min from 7:00 AM to 9:30PM
