Gates of heaven in Lempuyang temple is the most instagrammable place in Bali! The gates and the temple are located in the eastern part of Bali 1,775m above sea level within the highlands of Mount Lempuyang.
There will be a waiting of 1.5-2hr just to take the pic!!Better to come early as it will be very crowded later!
I always had a doubt how come the picture looks so great!I imagined that there would be water in front of the gates to get the reflection but I’m totally wrong!!It is the skill of a Balinese photographer who uses mirror plate to get the reflection in the picture! You can tip him but is not compulsory.
The temple complex has 7 different sanctuaries but most of them visit this place just for one pic at the gates!!You will be given 3 chances to pose as single and 3 poses as couple. So if you go as a couple, total 9 poses for both. Thus it takes a lot of time. Some of my friends said that they waited 3hrs for their turn !!It takes almost 2-3 hrs drive and 1.5-2hrs wait for just 3 poses so just decide if it’s worth or not for you to visit the temple..For me,it’s worth the wait!
